Huge Waves of Joy

Huge Waves of Joy

“There’s no secret to balance, you just have to feel the waves.”

– Frank Herbert

“Live, then, and be happy, beloved children of my heart, and never forget, that until the day God will deign to reveal the future to man, all human wisdom is contained in these two words, 'Wait and Hope.”

― Alexandre Dumas

Often times we take life too seriously. We let fear, failure, and difficulty spiritually drown us. Not all days can be joyful, some need to be sorrowful, or hard, but even in those hard days let's remember these words by Oswald Chambers:

"Huge waves that would frighten an ordinary swimmer swimmer produce a tremendous thrill for the surfer who has ridden them. Let's apply that to our own circumstances. The Things we try to avoid and fight against--tribulation, suffering, and persecution--are the very things that produce abundant Joy

"Come to me, all who labor and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you, and learn from me, for I am gentle and lowly in heart, and you will find rest for your souls. For my yoke is easy, and my burden is light."

― Matthew 11:28-30
